Manchester United boss David Moyes is keen on PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman.
The Daily Star says United are competing with AS Roma for Strootman.
PSV is said to have softened in its views of keeping hold of Strootman, after sporting director Marcel Brands' defiant pledge: "We do not want to lose Strootman this summer."
