Manchester United could be seeking a new shirt sponsor as early as the end of this season.

The Daily Mail says United are under the impression that their troubled U.S. shirt sponsors AIG will carry on backing the club until their £14m-a-year deal expires at the end of next season.

But AIG insiders strongly expect the plug to be pulled in May, due to the speed with which parts of the business are being sold off.
