Arsenal are considering a shock Bosman move for Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves.
The Daily Star Sunday says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been an admirer of Hargreaves, 30, since his Bayern Munich days and is keeping an eye on the situation.
Hargreaves, a £17million signing from Bayern four years ago, has been restricted to only 39 appearances for United in his time at the club - mainly because of tendonitis in both knees.
His United career looked like ending in the summer, when he is out of contract.
But due to the improvement in his knees, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson could now sanction a new one-year deal.
