Manchester United are being linked with Porto midfielder Fernando.
Fernando's contract expires with Porto next summer and has accordingly drawn interest from Serie A outfits Inter Milan and Juventus.
But the Daily Star says Portuguese sources say David Moyes has joined the race in an effort to tempt the Brazilian to Old Trafford.
It is expected that the Portuguese side will actively look to sell Fernando in the January window if they do not progress through the Champions League group stages, rather than lose him for free when his contract concludes at the end of the season.
