Manchester United have held transfer talks for a surprise target this week.

The Red Devils are targeting relegated Leeds United defender Robin Koch in a cut price deal.

Per Sky Germany, the 26-year-old defender is a surprise option for manager Erik ten Hag.

Koch could be available for a very low fee given Leeds were relegated to the Championship.

While United fans may be questioning his ability, Ten Hag may see something in Koch that supporters do not.

The defender can play as both a centre half and defensive midfielder, which may appeal to United.
