Man Utd defender Victor Lindelof leaves Sweden squad for 'personal reasons'

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has left the Sweden squad for 'personal reasons'.

The 26-year-old has played in both of his nation's World Cup qualifiers during the international break with Sweden securing wins over Georgia and Kosovo.

But Lindelof will play no part in Sweden's friendly against Estonia on Wednesday evening, Sweden's assistant manager Peter Wettergren confirmed.

"He will leave us tonight for private, personal reasons," Wettergren said at a press conference on Monday.

Lindelof has been dealing with a back injury all season and has been carefully managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his staff.
