Man Utd defender Varane enjoyed full 90 against Wrexham

Manchester United defender Raphael Varane played a full 90 against Wrexham in yesterday's preseason friendly at Carrington.

The Frenchman was given the full game by manager Erik ten Hag after an injury-plagued tour of Thailand and Australia.

Following his arrival earlier in the week, Christian Eriksen was on the scoresheet with a free-kick from the edge of the box.

United confirmed the arrival of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax on Wednesday and he was thrown straight into action against Wrexham, who brought two teams.

Matej Kovar started in goal and the defence included Ethan Laird, Varane, Martinez and Alex Telles. Zidane Iqbal, James Garner and Eriksen made a three-man midfield.
