Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is reluctant to rush a decision over signing permanently with Roma.
Despite repeated claims of a permanent deal being close to agreement, the clubs have not entered negotiations and Smalling is happy to wait until the summer, says the Daily Mail.
The 30-year-old is under contract until 2022 and has an extra year option.
Reports in Italy had indicated that Smalling is keen to join the Serie A outfit on a long-term basis.
Corriere dello Sport even believe that Roma would be willing to force through a switch in the region of £13million.
