Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof was proud to be part of Sweden's 3-0 victory over Mexico.

The win sees the Swedes reach the World Cup round of 16.

Lindelof said: "It is clear that it was very tough (against Germany) and we were very angry and sad after the match there. We were very down the following day. But then we were all back and ready to upload mentally for the next match, and we are again strong mentally.

"We know what we can do on the field. There was no one who had any idea that we were going home without everyone knowing that we would win this match."

He added: "We believe in ourselves, we trust each other. One trusts the person in front of him, behind him and next to him. And it's very important in a team that you can do this."
