Man Utd defender Lindelof: Humble Greenwood has very, very bright future

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has no doubts Mason Greenwood is destined for big things.

The 18-year-old forward found the score sheet on Boxing Day as he netted United's second goal during their 4-1 comeback win against Newcastle.

"He is a fantastic young player and I have said it a few times before; he is training very hard, he comes in, he is very humble off the pitch as well," Lindelof told Amazon Prime.

"If he keeps going the way he has been he has got a very, very bright future ahead of him. He is a very good kid as well outside of the pitch.

"I have no idea which foot is his best, but that is also a very good strength to have as an attacking player. He can go left, he can go right. Fantastic player, and I am very happy for him."

Anthony Martial bagged a brace and Marcus Rashford netted the other goal as United scored four goals in the Premier League since their opening day win over Chelsea.

Swedish defender Lindelof added: "Of course they are really, really good players, and they are very, very dangerous, but it is very fun and challenging playing against them in training because you have to always be on your toes and be ready for everything.

"I am very happy to have them on my side today!"
