The young defender has struggled to progress his career since earning praise as a youth player.

The 21-year-old experienced a major knee injury last season while on loan at Fulham that derailed his progress.

Fosu-Mensah posted a video of himself running on Instagram.

The video showed him going through drills under the gaze of a United coach.

It is unclear when he will return to full first-team training.
