Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says Wayne Rooney will be fresher for missing victory over Fulham.
The United defender says that Rooney will be determined to play well against Chelsea, not because of his two-match domestic ban, but because he's a professional footballer who's desperate to win the Champions League.
"Regardless of that [his ban] he'll be pumped up, he's a professional footballer and he wants to do well. He thrives on big occasions, as we've seen in the past, and he's a talented footballer," says Ferdinand.
"Like all the other players that are out there I'm sure he'll be amped up under the lights here on a European night."
