Man Utd defender Ferdinand: Chelsea clash ho-hum

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says he isn't overly excited about facing Chelsea on Monday.

A Chelsea win could see Jose Mourinho's men establish a six-point lead over the reigning Champions - although United would have a game in hand - but Ferdinand insists that the prospect of taking on the West London side does not stir the Old Trafford emotions in the same way as the derby matches against bitter rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

"It [Chelsea] is not my favourite game," said Ferdinand. "You look forward to playing every time at Old Trafford. It is a special place to play and we all appreciate that we can play there in front of our home fans and we try to put on a show.

"You've got your closest rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City, that are hyped up that bit more than against anyone else, so winning that kind of game is probably the biggest of the season."
