Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could miss the derby against Manchester City this weekend. The Daily Express says Rooney has picked up a knock in training.
Rooney was seen limping heavily when attending a sponsorship event at Old Trafford yesterday with the rest of the Manchester United squad.
The United captain is due to make his comeback at the Etihad Stadium after completing a three-game suspension for a red card against West Ham last month.
He has five days to recover but If he is ruled out of a fourth game it will be a major blow for manager Louis Van Gaal who admitted recently he had scaled down the intensity of his training sessions to try to reduce the number of injuries his squad have suffered since he took over in the summer.
