Man Utd come from behind against Tottenham

Dimitar Berbatov scored twice in two minutes as Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the FA Cup fourth round. Roman Pavlyuchenko had given Spurs a shock early lead at Old Trafford until Berbatov's strikes against his old club settled the tie.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reflected on the win and more injury concerns.

"Give them a start - it always helps, doesn't it?

"But they recovered well, they played excellent stuff in the first half and the goalkeeper's made two or three very good saves, we hit the crossbar.

"Dimitar Berbatov's goal was fantastic but it was also a marvellous pass from Michael Carrick."

"Danny Welbeck got kicked on the ankle. It's nothing serious but I don't think he'll make Tuesday," United manager Alex Ferguson told MUTV.

"Young Fabio has a calf strain and it's disappointing because he's only just come back from a long injury. He did very well too.

"You could do without these things but I've got (Darren) Fletcher, (Ryan) Giggs, (Darron) Gibson and (Rodrigo) Possebon who are all fresh. I'm okay with midfield players and the front players. It's just the fullback positions that cause us a bit of concern."

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp defended Tottenham after their performance attracted criticism.

"That criticism is unfair," said Redknapp.

"I don't know what game they can have been watching. How can they say we didn't try?

"I think people are jumping on a bandwagon. This is a tough place to come and it is not like we have been beaten 6-1. We have lost 2-1.

"Everyone wants to jump on Tottenham at the moment. I was happy with the effort today."
