Man Utd coach expects players to be sent to Antwerp

Manchester United reserves coach Jim Ryan expects some of his squad to be sent to satellite club Royal Antwerp.

Ryan told manutd.com: "It doesn't look as though there will be as many loans this year, but I think there'll be a couple more I would think. We're hoping to put one or two to Antwerp, but the Manager makes the final decision on all these things. We've proposed a couple of players, now we'll just see what his reaction is."

On the returning players that spent last season away on-loan, Ryan added: "What's happened is that they've moved up to work with the First Team group, so their next experience will be working at that level every day in training. People like Gerard Pique, Danny Simpson and Jonny Evans will be working at a higher level every day."
