Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe admits he'll seek to bring in "magic" to the squad.

Ratcliffe feels the team has lacked some gold dust in recent years.

In addition to talking about Cristiano Ronaldo as the best footballer who has played for United, Ratcliffe says Paul Scholes is the player he would add to the current team.

He told the GT Cycling podcast: "He is the player we need the most, with Manchester United has always had a bit of glamour. (George) Best, (Sir Bobby) Charlton, (Erik) Cantona... It's something we must never forget, it's an element of Manchester United.

"In the last decade we have lacked a bit of glamour."
