Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is ready to go German in January.
The Mirror says Woodward has given the green light for a £125million double Bundesliga swoop for crack Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz and striker Thomas Muller.
United despatched their top scouts to Germany on Saturday to watch 20-year-old German international Havertz in action against Werder Bremen as well as watching Muller in Bayern Munich's clash with Union Berlin.
Muller has been on United's before radar, notably in 2014 when the club wanted to make him David Moyes' first signing after the end of the Sir Alex Ferguson era.
The German attacker, now 30, is no longer seen as a first choice option by coach Niko Kovac and has started from the bench in five of Bayern's last seven games.
