Man Utd, Chelsea tracking best of Nigeria's Premier League talent

Nigeria boss Amodu Shaibu is to become a scout for some of the Premiership's biggest clubs.

Shaibu has been assigned the responsibility of scouting for top English Premiership clubs Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Blackburn Rovers.

NVA Management chief Chris Nathaniel, who organised a tour of England for Amodu, told The Sun: "Amodu has been assigned the responsibilities by these Premier League clubs managers to recommend players from the Nigerian League that could play in the (English) Premiership.

"The clubs also said to him that he should forward information as regards the players to the NVA Management, London. We (NVA Management) will in turn inform the clubs and the clubs will then arrange for the players to be invited to England.

"This is good for Nigerian football which now means that the door is open for Nigerians to come directly from Nigeria into the English Premiership.

"The coach also met with England's national team Manager, Fabio Capello and they had a wonderful time together. They had brief but worthy discussions which will be very useful to the coach, the Super Eagles and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

"All in all, the Nigerian Manager, Amodu is having a swell and fruitful deliberations with these top coaches in England and he is happy with the NFF and the NVA Management for organising such a trip for him."
