Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has called on his teammates to show more fight in the coming days and weeks.

The Red Devils are on a run of four straight defeats at this early stage of the season.

United were beaten 4-3 by Bayern Munich in their first Champions League group stage game.

Post-game, Fernandes said: “The positive is that the spirit, the fighting spirit, was there. We tried.

“It wasn't still enough to win the game, or to get something from the game, but at periods, the team showed great spirit.

“But we have to do it more often and for 90 minutes."
