Manchester United have been encouraged in their pursuit of Juventus fullback Alex Sandro.

The Independent says United are ready to land Sandro - when Jose Mourinho green lights the deal.

The Brazil international was tipped to head to the Premier League in January, with the Red Devils and Chelsea keen on the left-back.

However, a move didn't materialise, with Juve refusing to sell the 27-year-old, who they valued at around £60m.

United are expected to make another move for Sandro this summer with Mourinho keen to bolster his defence at Old Trafford.

United see him as the perfect addition, should Mourinho decide to sign a new left-back.
