Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal insists he's nothing like his public image.

Van Gaal is regarded as a cold, strict disciplinarian.

But he told NIS: "From the outside, of course you can have a picture of me that is understandable.

"If you read this about me ten times, and you do not spend ten times on the other image, it is logical that people get such a picture of you.

"But every time I personally meet people, they all say, 'gee, you are not so bad!'."
