Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal doesn't want his backroom staff splitting their responsibilities with England.
The Daily Express says fitness coach Tony Strudwick and masseur Rod Thornley will join up with England for the Euro 2016 qualifiers with San Marino and Estonia next week, but are likely to stand down from their roles thereafter.
Van Gaal, who has seen his United squad decimated by injury this season, wants the duo to focus on clubs duties during the international breaks from now on. The Football Association is aware of the development.
Strudwick joined Roy Hodgson's England set-up before the World Cup, while the popular Thornley has a long-standing association with the national team having been originally brought into the set-up on the recommendation of former captain David Beckham.
The FA will seek to further dialogue with United after the qualifiers, but Van Gaal's position on the matter looks set.
