Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is unhappy with Ajax after being told to cough up almost £40m for attacker Mohammed Kudus.
Ten Hag is keen to land a new forward in this month's transfer window and is considering a move for Kudus.
The 22-year-old produced a string of impressive performances for Ghana at the World Cup in Qatar this winter. This has resulted in his value going up, with Ajax demanding more than £35m for Kudus, says the Daily Star.
But Ten Hag, who left Ajax to take charge of United nine months ago, believes the Dutch giants are attempting to cash in on Kudus with an unrealistic price tag. Now he could decide to look elsewhere in his bid to add more firepower to his side.
Kudus has made 21 appearances for Ajax so far this term, scoring 10 goals. He has five goals in 14 games in the Eredivisie, catching the eye following hismove from Nordsjælland.
