Man Utd boss Ten Hag rejects fresh Rashford criticism

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag insists Marcus Rashford is motivated to help the team.

Rashford has come in for fresh criticism after comments by former United players on a podcast.

Ex-United players Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand questioned Rashford's form and mentality this season, leading to a social media post from his brother and agent.

“I don't know what Gary Neville was saying," said the United manager after a 4-3 loss to Chelsea.

“But lately his (Rashford's) form is progressing.

“He has a big motivation because he wants to be successful with us. He wants to win trophies and score goals. But he wants to win and to contribute, and we have a chance with the FA Cup.

“He wants to fight for a Champions League spot and the Euros are coming. So his motivation should be high. Before Brentford he scored three goals in three games."
