Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be able to call on a veteran in the coming weeks.

The Red Devils have been boosted by news that Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has returned to training.

The club posted that Casemiro was on the grass training individually on Sunday at Carrington.

While he may not be able to play games as yet, Casemiro may be back in contention for selection in a matter of weeks.

Asked about Casemiro back in October, when the Brazilian was injured, Ten Hag told reporters: “You can't [be unhappy]. Those are the rules. He is playing for his nation and he is playing for us.

“We all understand. Casemiro is a soldier and he is available for every game. He will always give his best for his nation and for Manchester United."
