Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag insists he's happy with the form of Lisandro Martinez.

The Argentina defender was part of the team thrashed 7-0 at Liverpool on Sunday.

But after their Europa League win against Real Betis, Ten Hag said: "It is fantastic to work with him because he has such capacity and because he wants to develop every day.

"It's nice to see his type of defensive game. His attitude – everybody loves it, the fans love it, the defensive line loves it. It gives the team strength. When he has the ball he is also good.

"I like him as a player. I like the attitude, and I hope we can work together for a long time to come."
