Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag admits he's baffled by the criticism of Bruno Fernandes.
Roy Keane has declared Fernandes shouldn't be club captain - even after his matchwinner at Fulham on Saturday.
Ten Hag said: "I don't understand it.
"Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, but he does a lot of good things. He shows every game that he is a good captain. Today you could see his work capacity, his pressing game, and he scored, so he is very important for us."
Fernandes has scored three goals and two assists in eleven league games this season.
