Man Utd boss Ten Hag explains Hannibal substitution

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag insists he was happy with Hannibal Mejbri last night.

The midfielder started their Champions League defeat to Galatasaray, but was changed at halftime for Christian Eriksen.

Ten Hag said, “No, I felt he [Hannibal] played well but I wanted some passing capabilities in the midfield area, that's why we brought Christian Eriksen in."

The manager also discussed the form of Andre Onana after he conceded three goals.

He added, “I have to talk with more players, but I also have to talk with Andre of course. I will do and I will back him, because he's a great goalkeeper."
