Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is pondering a move for his former Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
ESPN says Ten Hag is weighing up turning to the Ghana international after being frustrated in negotiations for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
United have left their last offer of £55m for Mount on the table, but Ten Hag is also looking elsewhere.
Among his alternatives is Kudus, who he worked with when in charge of Ajax. It's suggested Ten Hag believes Kudus' style of play is well suited to the Premier League.
However, United won't get a clear run, with Brighton also keen on Kudus this summer. The Seagulls see the midfielder as a direct replacement for new Liverpool signing Alexis Mac Allister.
