Man Utd boss Solskjaer confirms loan deals for youngsters

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits loan deals are being planned for several of young players next season.

Mason Greenwood, 18, and Brandon Williams, 19, have made 71 appearances between them in their breakthrough campaigns and Tahith Chong, James Garner, and Angel Gomes have made multiple starts.

Solskjaer recently added Teden Mengi and Ethan Laird, both 18, to the first-team squad and Mengi travelled to Aston Villa as Victor Lindelof was a doubt with a back injury.

The manager said, "You don't really have the time or focus. You can't think three months ahead now with players who are in and around the first-team.

"Of course, there are youngsters who you know are going to go out on loan, that need exposure, game-time, but those who are in and around the first-team now, they only have one focus, and that's Southampton, then it's onto the next one.

"We need to finish the season strong."
