Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a move for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld as Victor Lindelof has failed to live up to expectations in defence for the Red Devils.
Since arriving at Spurs in 2015 from Atletico Madrid, Alderweireld has matured as a player and played a key role for Mauricio Pochettino's team during their title challenges during the past two seasons.
Mourinho signed Lindelof from Benfica last summer with the hopes that he would be a long-term partner for Eric Bailly.
However, the Swede has so far failed to impress, which has caused Mourinho to contemplate a move for Alderweireld.
