Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted his admiration for AS Roma signing Justin Kluivert.

The Holland international left Ajax for AS Roma earlier this summer, though was also interesting Mourinho at United.

The Portuguese stated: "I know Kluivert from a young age. I was at Barcelona with his father when he was born. When he played with Ajax against us in the final of the Europa League, I was delighted to see that Patrick's son had become so good.

"In my opinion this is very good for Roma and it is also a good solution for him.

"He can learn a lot in Italian football in the tactical, mental and physical field and in my opinion he made a good choice."
