Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted Blackpool counterpart Ian Holloway's tirade against rival managers over Charlie Adam is beginning to wear thin.
For many, Ferguson is the unofficial president of the managers' union in England.
And he said: "I've had him (Holloway) bending my bloody ear on the phone. He's never got a penny, always pleading poverty. You end up crying after he comes off the phone, feeling sorry for himself. He's always been that way, for loans and so on. Even when he was dealing with (£350,000) signing Craig Cathcart from us, he was saying 'I can't afford him'.
"Now he says he is the best signing he's made!
"Of course he thinks the offers are not enough! When he goes for a player, his view is the asking price is 'bloody disgraceful, bleeding the country dry''. Then somebody tries to buy his players!"
