Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been stunned by Lyon's asking price for Karim Benzema.
Ferguson has pulled the plug on a deal for French striker Benzema - after being quoted £48MILLION.
Fergie launched a late bid for Benzema three weeks ago, but the chase is off because of the fee.
