Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Danny Welbeck can fill the void for England left by the suspended Wayne Rooney.
England face three group matches at Euro 2012 without Rooney following the striker's red card in Montenegro. But Ferguson is convinced 20-year-old Welbeck can provide the solution for England boss Fabio Capello.
The United manager said: "Danny is ready for it. There's no doubts or worries in my mind about that. He's got talent as good as any forward in the England game.
"He's a strong lad physically and mentally. He's got great belief. He's confident, he's intelligent and he's ready for international level now.
"Danny was always a lad with talent. We've had to be patient with him because he grew very tall very quickly and became gangly and suffered a few problems. But now you see he's a massive, powerful lad. He's only 20, so tactical awareness will develop, but he's certainly got the technical skills."
