Man Utd boss Ferguson: Ronaldo rehab progressing well

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Cristiano Ronaldo's rehab from ankle surgery is progressing well.

Ronaldo drove into Carrington at 8.50am yesterday and was immediately assessed by the United medical team.

Ferguson added: "We're very pleased with the progress. We'll be putting him on a programme now for the next stage.

"The specialist said yesterday that he's delighted with Cristiano's progress. He's exactly in the situation, the position, the surgeon thought he'd be.

"We will now take it to the next stage. It will be a month of rehabilitation and then he should be in full training."
