Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed plans to buy a new centre-half.

United had problems this season, with injuries to all four senior central defenders during the campaign.

Ferguson said: "We will be there again. I'm certain of that. I think we have had a good season. We need to look at the centre-back situation and make sure we keep their fitness.

"But the goalkeeper is improving and the younger players are improving, too. I expect us to be there again without a doubt."
