Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon has been cleared of serious injury.

The Brazilian was carried off in agony after a shocking challenge from Emanuel Pogatetz, but his injury amounts to a bone-deep cut in his right leg.

Rodrigo stayed in hospital on Tuesday night to avoid infection, and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said this morning: "It's amazing there's no serious injury."
