Manchester United are weighing up a move for Olympique Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena.
The People says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is monitoring Marseille star Valbuena with a view to a £12million summer bid.
Fergie has sent scouts to watch the attacking midfielder and their reports have been positive.
Valbuena, 26, was a member of France's shamed World Cup squad, but scored his country's second goal in the 2-1 victory over England in the Wembley friendly in November.
