Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping in touch with Benfica for winger Nicolas Gaitain.

Record says Gaitan remains Ferguson's top target for the summer market, with a gentleman's agreement existing between the two clubs giving United first option.

Gaitan's contract carries a €45million buy-out clause, however United are willing to pay a maximum of €25million and negotiations are continuing.
