Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has rejected the chance to lead Great Britain in the London Olympics.
The United boss was London 2012 supremo Seb Coe's first choice for the role that has now gone to Stuart Pearce.
Coe talked to Ferguson, but the final of the tournament will be played just a week before the start of the next football season and the Scot insists he will have his hands full at Old Trafford.
Ferguson said: "I told Seb that if I wasn't managing at the time I might consider it. But I am managing. I'm busy here at Manchester United."
