Man Utd boss Ferguson heaps praise on fit-again Brown

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has talked up Wes Brown's ability after his recent return to first team action.

Brown has been blasted following shaky displays for England against Brazil and Manchester United in the 3-3 draw against CSKA Moscow.

But Ferguson said: "A lot of Wes' career has been blighted by injury. He has had two cruciate knee ligament injuries and a broken ankle.

"But the season before last he was our most consistent performer and I know that when he is fit, he is one of the best defenders in the country.

"I'm delighted to have him back because I know the experience he can bring to the back four."
