Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to end his interest in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea.
The Daily Star says Ferguson has sent scouts to watch Atletico Madrid's highly-rated stopper with a summer swoop in mind.
But De Gea, 20, has now pledged his future to the La Liga outfit, forcing Fergie into looking elsewhere for a long-term replacement for the veteran Dutchman.
Schalke star Manuel Neuer, Rangers' Allan McGregor and Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina are on United's radar.
