Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is disappointed Nemanja Vidic is suspended for tonight's Champions League clash with Otelul Galati.

Rio Ferdinand will be recalled to the line-up, with Vidic's suspension - for a red card against the Romanian champions a fortnight ago.

"He was a bit unfortunate with the sending off in Romania," reflected Sir Alex, "but I can understand the referee's decision because his foot was a little bit high. It's unfortunate for us that he's missing tomorrow as his performance on Saturday [against Everton] was excellent. But Rio steps in and will play tomorrow, there's no problem with that."
