Manchester United have slashed their asking price to help Dimitar Berbatov get a move away.
The Mirror says Berbatov is on the verge of a move to Italy after making a personal 'Let me go' plea to Alex Ferguson.
The misfit Manchester United striker spoke to Reds manager Ferguson after the £24million arrival of fellow forward Robin van Persie last Friday, and has since been in negotiations about a cut-price £3m move to Fiorentina.
The Serie A club are offered the Bulgarian a two-year deal and have spoken to the 31-year-old Berbatov's representatives.
The ex-Spurs striker is hoping that Ferguson will now give the move the green light.
