Manchester United have been encouraged in their pursuit of Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar.
Aboubakar, who has been linked with United, has been released by Al-Nassr so Cristiano Ronaldo can be registered.
Saudi Pro League rules state clubs must not have more than eight foreign players in their squad. When Ronaldo arrived, Al-Nassr had full capacity and so one player had to be shown the door to allow the registration of their superstar signing.
Al-Riyadh says it is Cameroonian Aboubakar who has been cut loose.
United view the centre-forward as a replacement for Ronaldo and can now snap him up as a free agent. Fenerbhce are also interested.
