Manchester United forward Zak Dearnley is enjoying the first week of Paul Scholes' management at Oldham Athletic.
Dearnley says he is relishing his first taste of first team football on loan at Oldham.
He told the Oldham website: “The big difference is the points you're playing for, it's a real game.
“You're fighting for the fans, it's their hard-working money to come watch you play, and you want to do the best for them.
“You want to die for the three points for them on weekend, you want to do well, so it's a massive difference from U23 football, but it's one I'm enjoying."
Dearnley is playing under new Oldham manager Paul Scholes, and has revealed what it's like to learn from a United legend.
He said: “It's an exciting time for everyone and for me personally because coming from Manchester United we all know what they think of the gaffer.
“He's a legend there and there's no one better to learn off for me and we've got a great relationship already and hopefully we can build on that.
“He's been helping me off his own experiences, he's been there and done it, so whatever advice he gives me is all good advice.
“He's been there every step of the way, put his trust in me so it can only stand me in good stead."
