Manchester United and Chelsea are on red alert after news emerged regarding Wesley Sneijder's contract talks with Inter Milan. The Holland international's discussions with the Italian club have reportedly broken down after Inter could not agree to Sneijder's financial needs.
It is believed that the Nerazzurri wanted to extend Sneijder's contract until 2016 but his representative Soren Lerby confirmed things had fallen over for the moment.
"Financially we can't work out a deal. Negotiations have been called off and will only be restarted if Inter will show some willing," he said.
