After joining Manchester United in the summer, he realises tomorrow's clash with noisy neighbours City is on a whole different level.
Van Persie, 29, said: "Obviously, in the past I had the North London derby against Spurs plus other derbies in London.
"But this is two Manchester teams in one city. They are the only teams, so it is the only derby and the biggest derby.
"It's a big one straight away and I am looking forward to it because it's No 1 versus No 2 in the league at the moment."
